I was pretty excited when I found this somewhat lengthy book at such a good price by a new (to me) author.... And dealing with subject matter that is one of my fave tropes.However, I was really, really glad when this tedious book finally came to a close.For the most part, I found the writing and dialogue good. Typos and other grammatical errors, minimal, and the research, from a medical standpoint, pretty thorough.But, oh my gosh, the insta-everything is just way over the top!I do not see that these guys can be in love and talking "forever" after knowing one another only 3 days... In fact they were almost committed within the first hour.Then the nauseatingly annoying lovie dovie talk and CONSTANT reference to "my lover" by the narrator, instead of using Finn's name. Constantly. Consistently. Perpetually.That is just a deal-breaker for me.Sorry. I just simply could not like this book.I doubt very much that I would bother reading more from this author.I award 2 stars for the obvious amount of work that went into completing the writing of this book... That can never be overlooked.And I appreciated the snappy title for the book. Finn is an unapologetic firecracker and I loved it! No angst, all sweetness and light. Will definitely continue to purchase titles from this author. I read to escape and this is exactly the world I want to escape into. Thanks!
